10,000 Hz Records is a brand that started as a pop-up shop in early 2017 in Opelika and Auburn, Alabama. Founded by Russ and Hannah, the brand was born out of their frustration with the lack of new vinyl selection in their area. What started as a few crates of LPs and a display stand quickly grew into a brick-and-mortar shop in downtown Opelika.

Located on 1st Avenue, the store shares its space with Mama Mocha's Coffee Roastery, Sneak & Dawdle, and Resting Pulse Brewing Company. 10,000 Hz Records specializes in new and used vinyl, offering a wide range of genres including indie rock, jazz, folk, soul, metal, and more. With a collection of over 6,000 new vinyl titles, customers are sure to find something they love.

The brand also sells turntables, speakers, vintage hi-fi gear, accessories, and merchandise. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, 10,000 Hz Records adapted by launching an online platform to keep their inventory available to customers.
