With a focus on creating investment opportunities, we actively engage with current faculty, students, and the extensive alumni network of over 600,000 individuals involved in world-class research efforts. Our target portfolio companies possess unique technological expertise and scalable business models, primarily in sectors like information technology, advanced materials, and healthcare/medical devices. Leveraging the business acumen and management talent of the Penn State Alumni network and our limited partners, we aim to support the growth and success of these companies. While we have strong ties to the Penn State community, it's important to note that 1855 Capital is a privately owned and operated company, separate from the university. Led by Managing Director Matt Rhodes, an experienced leader in innovation and change management, our team is dedicated to driving innovation and creating value.
