## Description

22 July Centre is a national memorial and learning centre in Oslo dedicated to the terrorist attacks of 22 July 2011, when a bomb in the government quarter and a mass shooting on Utøya took 77 lives. The centre preserves the memory of those affected while helping visitors understand what happened, how it could happen, and why the events continue to matter. Its work also addresses terrorism, extremism and radicalisation, placing the attacks in a wider context. Visitors can explore the human consequences through stories of those who were killed and eyewitness testimonies. The centre welcomes individual visitors, school groups and other groups, and offers visits and teaching sessions that can be booked in advance. Admission is always free, although booking is recommended when visitor numbers are high. Located at Akersgata 42 in Oslo, the centre is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Its purpose is to support remembrance, learning and informed reflection.
