## Description

280 Earth is at the forefront of addressing climate change through its innovative Direct Air Capture (DAC) systems, which are designed to permanently remove CO2 from the atmosphere. With roots at Google X, The Moonshot Factory, this brand is dedicated to scaling carbon removal technology as a crucial response to the climate crisis. Aiming to mitigate the imbalance created since industrialization, where CO2 levels have surged from 280 ppm to 425 ppm, 280 Earth seeks to provide effective solutions that not only capture excess CO2 but also produce fresh water and utilize waste heat. The company’s first DAC facility, located in The Dalles, Oregon, commenced operations in May 2024 and is designed to capture 500 tons of CO2 per year, with plans to expand to over 20,000 tons annually. With ongoing initiatives to establish additional DAC sites across the United States, 280 Earth is committed to crafting sustainable solutions that benefit the environment for future generations.
