## Description

2Michaels is an interior design studio founded and run by sisters Joan and Jayne Michaels, with offices in New York City and the Hamptons. The studio describes its aesthetic as fresh, effortless, and poetic, bringing a considered design perspective to residential interiors. Its selected work includes New York City projects such as Tribeca lofts, an Upper West Side residence at The Prasada, the Apthorp, and a Park Slope brownstone. The sisters’ interest in architecture and design began in Palm Springs, California, and developed through exposure to influential Italian designers in Milan, including Franco Albini, Carlo Scarpa, and Gio Ponti. After moving to New York as young adults, both earned degrees in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. 2Michaels has been recognized by publications and industry sources, including Elle Decor’s A List, Departures’ Generation Next, Luxe’s Gold List, Traditional Home’s Top 20 Designers to Watch, and New York magazine’s Top 100 Designers. The studio’s website presents its portfolio, background, press coverage, and contact information.
