## Description

3Daughters is a clinical development company focused on advancing women’s healthcare through innovative therapeutics and targeted uterine drug delivery. Its lead product is a non-hormonal, frameless IUD designed to offer an alternative to conventional plastic, T-shaped devices. The system combines three copper-encased magnetic ellipses with two proprietary tools: the i-Slider inserter and r-Slider retriever.

During insertion, the ellipses are delivered into the uterus and use magnetic forces to assemble into a stable triangular configuration. The i-Slider is designed to support insertion without a tenaculum or uterine sound, while the magnetic-tipped r-Slider enables removal without strings. Together, these features aim to address discomfort and other challenges associated with traditional IUD insertion and removal.

3Daughters describes its IUD as being in preclinical development and states that it planned to file an IND and begin Phase 1 clinical trials in 2025. The company’s work spans product development, science and technology, and women’s health innovation. Its Baltimore-based team brings experience across biotechnology, medical devices, reproductive health, and drug delivery.
