## Description

48Nauts is a Switzerland-based software and research studio focused on making AI use more understandable and controllable. Its work explores how AI systems behave, what information they expose or retain, and what they cost, then turns those findings into practical software, research and learning resources. The guiding principle is “Your AI. Your terms”: understand what systems do, decide where data goes, and keep evidence of activity.

Its products address distinct needs across AI development and operations. NautGate helps users inspect connected AI requests, track models, routes, tokens and spending, and keep verifiable records. Engram connects organisational sources, context and earlier decisions to support evidence-backed proposals. xNaut brings tickets, coding agents, isolated worktrees and changes into a shared workspace for human review. Bowden-PII replaces supported personal identifiers locally before text is sent onward, helping reduce data exposure. The portfolio also includes NautLoop sandbox infrastructure and WhichSkills experiments. 48Nauts shares product updates, practical AI research, guides and findings through its learning resources, with products at various stages of availability, from available to early development.
