## Description

VI Corps Combat Engineers is a dedicated online platform honoring the legacy of the pioneering combat engineer regiments of World War II, specifically the 36th, 39th, 540th, and 1108th Engineers. Established in 2004 by an enthusiastic researcher, the site emerged from personal endeavors to document the history of these units, particularly spotlighting the contributions of the 540th Engineer Regiment.

The website serves as a rich resource, offering extensive information including battle histories, field manuals, memoirs, and a vast collection of photographs. It features numerous links to related units and resources, making it an invaluable hub for both veterans and history enthusiasts. Community engagement is encouraged through a forum that connects members of the military and their families, fostering conversations about shared experiences and research inquiries.

Visitors can browse informative content, explore photo galleries of over 2,000 images, and discover veteran stories while commemorating the bravery of those who served in the ETO. This passion project aims to preserve and celebrate the history for future generations.
