## Description

SimpleLogin is an open-source email alias service based in Switzerland, designed to help people protect their privacy and keep their inboxes safer from spam and phishing. Instead of sharing a personal email address when signing up for websites or newsletters, users can create aliases that forward incoming messages to a chosen mailbox. They can also reply to forwarded emails or send messages from an alias, keeping their real address hidden from recipients.

Users can create and manage aliases through the SimpleLogin website, browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, and mobile apps for Android and iOS. The service supports custom domains and catch-all aliases, as well as quick alias creation using a SimpleLogin subdomain. Multiple mailboxes can be connected, and optional PGP encryption can protect forwarded messages. Account security options include two-factor authentication with TOTP or WebAuthn.

SimpleLogin’s server and client software are open source, and the service can also be self-hosted. Its plans offer unlimited email forwarding and sending, with no bandwidth limits.
