## Description

A11yTalks is a dynamic platform founded in 2017 by Carie Fisher, aimed at bridging the gap between developers and accessibility professionals. With the valuable contributions of Donna Bungard and AmyJune Hineline, the initiative quickly gained momentum and has since expanded to a robust team of nine members by 2022. A11yTalks fosters a friendly and safe environment where participants can engage in constructive dialogue about digital accessibility. The organization hosts virtual meet-ups featuring enlightening speakers and conversations that promote awareness and understanding of accessibility in technology. A special emphasis is placed on inclusivity, as A11yTalks actively works to include individuals from underrepresented groups, including persons with disabilities (PwD), BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and women, in their speaker line-up. Committed to promoting mutual respect, A11yTalks ensures all community interactions adhere to a strict Code of Conduct, making it a welcoming space for all. Join the A11yTalks community to share, learn, and enhance digital accessibility for everyone.
