## Description

A2RL, the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League, is a global competition and technology platform built by ASPIRE, part of the Advanced Technology Research Council. Based in the UAE, it brings together university, research, and AI teams to develop and race fully autonomous vehicles. Its initiatives include high-speed autonomous car races and drone championships, where teams test AI decision-making, robotics, perception, precision driving, and navigation in demanding conditions. A2RL describes itself as the world’s fastest autonomous racing league, with cars reaching speeds above 250 km/h and drones above 130 km/h.

More than a sporting event, A2RL uses competition as a testbed for advances in autonomous mobility and real-world technology. It aims to accelerate innovation, develop future engineering talent, and connect teams, partners, and fans with the possibilities of AI-powered racing. The league offers teams a platform to compete, partners opportunities for exposure, and audiences race coverage and highlights. Its activities include events at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi and an international appearance at Imola.
