## Description

L’Atelier des artistes en exil (aa-e) is a cultural organization that identifies and supports artists in exile, regardless of their origins or artistic discipline. It helps artists develop their creative work and connect with audiences and professional networks, while creating opportunities for cultural exchange and collaboration. Based in Paris and Marseille, the organization brings together artists working across the arts and presents their work through public events and projects.

Its activities include exhibitions, concerts, readings, film screenings, workshops, open stages and artist meet-ups. Recurring programs such as Words in Exile and the aa-e cinema club offer spaces for artists to share work and explore experiences of displacement, censorship and conflict. The aa-e also provides French-language courses open to everyone, alongside support, resources and cooperation initiatives. Its services include an information and emergency hotline, and the organization highlights accommodation, patronage, volunteering and donations as ways to support its work. Through this combination of artistic programming and practical assistance, the aa-e supports artists in exile and helps make their voices and work visible.
