The Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living is a brand that has been empowering the lives of people with disabilities since 1976. Run by people with disabilities for people with disabilities, we work hand-in-hand with you to help you live the life you want to live. Our mission is to advocate for a more inclusive community for all and provide a wide range of services to support your goals.

Our services include community advocacy, employment preparation, independent living skills development, information and referral, nursing facility transition services, peer support, recreation and arts programming, training and consulting on disability issues, and youth academic scholarships. We also provide advocacy to make our community more accessible and friendlier, assistance accessing community resources, career services, and small business development assistance. With locations in Ann Arbor and Monroe, we offer a dynamic community center filled with events and activities to help you connect with others and pursue your passions.
