Founded in 1996 by Maryland Speaker of the House, Delegate Adrienne Jones, the festival aims to showcase Baltimore County's achievements through its communities, residents, government agencies, non-profit organizations, education, history, entrepreneurship, arts, and culture. This family-oriented festival offers a full day of fun for attendees of all ages. With cultural art, history presentations, diverse empowerment sessions, music, dance performances, storytelling, and more, BCAACFEST provides an immersive experience that highlights the African American heritage. The festival is held at Towson Patriot Plaza in Towson, MD. It attracts approximately 50,000 attendees annually, including children, youth, adults, and seniors from diverse multicultural backgrounds. BCAACFEST also serves as a platform to raise funds for charitable programs, such as scholarships and historical preservation projects. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, BCAACFEST prioritizes scholarship fundraising and strives to empower Baltimore County students graduating from high school. By collaborating with community stakeholders, the festival aims to preserve African American history and support various charitable organizations throughout the county. Join BCAACFEST on September 17, 2022, for its 26th Annual festival experience and immerse yourself in a day filled with cultural enrichment, entertainment, exhibits, food, and beverage attractions.
