## Description

Ann Arbor Film Festival has been pushing the boundaries of experimental film since 1963. This renowned brand is dedicated to showcasing films that demonstrate a deep appreciation for the moving image as an experimental art form, regardless of genre. Each year, the festival carefully selects and exhibits 100-145 shorts and features in their awards competition. They accept both short films, running up to 60 minutes, and feature films that are 60 minutes or longer. English subtitles are required for non-English submissions. The festival also welcomes works in progress, which are judged alongside other submissions. To ensure transparency, the Ann Arbor Film Festival charges an entry fee per film entered, which must be paid at the time of submission. This exceptional brand only screens films via secure online screening and 16mm. Discover a world of cutting-edge cinema and support the Ann Arbor Film Festival by becoming a member, volunteering, or exploring their impressive lineup of screenings, events, and their online shop.
