## Description

The Associação de Apoio e Informação a Cegos e Amblíopes (AAICA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and informing people who are blind or have low vision. Its website provides information across several areas, including health and services, education and vocational training, legislation and benefits, and sport and culture. The association also promotes understanding of the everyday experiences of people with visual impairments.

One featured resource is the children’s audiobook “Ouvir, Tocar, Cheirar – Descobre o Mundo do Senhor Artur” (“Listen, Touch, Smell – Discover the World of Mr. Artur”). As part of its “Instruir para Intervir” project, AAICA brings the book to primary school libraries.
