## Description

The American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) is a professional association dedicated to improving the health of the public through effective oral health promotion and disease prevention. It brings together members and institutional partners who work to advance public health dentistry and improve access to oral health care. AAPHD supports the field with educational and professional resources, including dental public health curriculum materials, information about residencies and certification, a code of ethics, webinars, publications, and a job board. Members can participate in councils, committees, and a trainer and speaker network, while students can access chapter guidance, symposium opportunities, and award programs. The association recognizes contributions through awards, scholarships, and grants, and its foundation supports initiatives through dedicated funds and programs. AAPHD also promotes collaboration and professional learning through the National Oral Health Conference and related events. Its activities include highlighting health equity and diversity, equity, and inclusion in oral health. Through membership, education, recognition, and community-focused initiatives, AAPHD works to strengthen the practice and impact of public health dentistry.
