## Description

Aarhus Folk Festival is a cultural festival that brings people together through folk music in the heart of Aarhus, Denmark. Built around tradition, curiosity and the joy of sharing music, it welcomes newcomers as well as experienced listeners and musicians. Visitors can enjoy live concerts, dance, workshops and opportunities to sing, play or simply listen.

The festival’s 2026 edition marks its tenth anniversary and takes place from 24 to 27 September. Its programme features artists performing at venues across the city, alongside workshops and other events that invite people to take part. The festival describes itself as a place to meet through music, where performances and shared experiences help create a sense of community.

Aarhus Folk Festival is supported by an association of people who care about the music and the community. Membership helps support the festival and brings members closer to its activities. The organisation also shares programme announcements, festival news and photos from its events, keeping audiences connected throughout the year.
