## Description

Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado (AATPC) is a nonprofit community mental health clinic in Arvada, Colorado, guided by the motto “Rescued Animals Rescuing People.” On a peaceful 3½-acre urban ranch, professional clinicians provide evidence-based animal-assisted psychotherapy with the support of more than 30 rescued animals. The clinic serves children, teens, adults, couples, and families through individual, child, adolescent, adult, couple, family, filial pet, and group therapy. Sessions are available in person or by telehealth, offering clients different ways to access care.

AATPC also helps mental health professionals explore and apply animal-assisted psychotherapy through training intensives, internships, a certificate program, coaching and consultation, and agency training and team-building.
