## Description

The Abacá Group is a Cebu-based boutique hospitality group founded in 2006 by Chef Jason and Anna Hyatt, with business leader Marc Compagnon. From its beginnings with Abaca Boutique Resort in Mactan, the group has grown to operate more than 35 locations and employ nearly 700 people. Its portfolio includes hotels and resorts, restaurants, cafés, bakery concepts, catering, and food brands such as Abaca Baking Company, Abaca Eats, Maya, Phat Pho, Tavolata, and Red Lizard.

The group creates dining and hospitality experiences shaped by local inspiration, international perspectives, craftsmanship, and attentive service. Its services extend beyond guest-facing venues to include wholesale breads and pastries, restaurant concessions, hotel operations, consulting, and support for hotel pre-openings and improvements in food and beverage, guest experience, and housekeeping. It also provides training and mentorship to help clients develop skilled teams and strong service cultures. Committed to community engagement, The Abacá Group supports local suppliers, artists, farmers, and craftspeople, alongside sustainability, wellness, and community initiatives.
