They believe that self-expression is crucial for developing confidence and resilience in young individuals. Led by Linda Dennis and with the theatrical support of Hester Kamin at Synetic Theatre in Arlington, Virginia, they have integrated the use of Pantomime as a communication tool in their programs.

Additionally, A Backpack Journalist offers documentary photography, storytelling, and real-world journalism experiences for students in the Lowcountry. They cover a wide range of assignments, from gathering the stories of historical figures to attending and reporting on public events.
