## Description

Abacus Ark is a family-run group of nursery schools in London, offering early-years education and childcare in warm, nurturing settings. Its nurseries welcome babies, young toddlers, older toddlers and preschool children, supporting their development and preparation for school. The group’s approach combines its FIRST Steps curriculum with the Early Years Foundation Stage, Montessori principles and Reggio Emilia-inspired learning. Structured activities and child-led exploration help children develop communication, literacy, mathematics, physical skills, creativity and understanding of the world. Abacus Ark also integrates STEM to encourage curiosity and critical thinking, while emphasising focus, independence, resilience, social awareness and trustworthiness. Learning is tailored to children’s interests, with teachers acting as supportive guides and families treated as partners in education. Children benefit from hands-on enrichment activities, secure indoor and outdoor spaces, and two hot meals each day. The Famly app helps parents follow their child’s experiences and progress, view photos and updates, and arrange meetings with teachers.
