## Description

Abbey Runners is a friendly running club based in North Leeds, welcoming people of all ages and abilities. The club supports runners with a range of goals, from improving personal bests and returning to fitness after injury or illness to preparing for a first marathon or simply enjoying a sociable run. Members take part in road running, cross-country, fell and trail running, as well as triathlon.

The club meets on Tuesdays at 6:50 p.m. at Holt Park Active, where members train in colour-coded groups matched by pace and fitness. Thursday sessions offer structured interval and hill training. Prospective members are encouraged to attend several runs before joining, with the membership team available to help arrange a trial and provide guidance.

Abbey Runners also has a thriving junior section and participates in the PECO Cross Country League. It organises club races and events, including the Hollybank Eccup 10, a scenic rural race around Eccup Reservoir that supports Hollybank Trust, and the Golden Acre Relay.
