## Description

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction industry trade association founded in 1950. With 67 chapters and more than 24,000 members, it represents merit shop contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and related businesses across the United States. Guided by the merit shop philosophy, ABC works to strengthen its members and promote a construction industry where businesses can compete on their merits.

ABC supports members in developing their workforces, finding business opportunities and completing projects safely, ethically and profitably. Its programs and resources include construction education, registered apprenticeship information, workforce development, safety training and recognition, technology guidance, policy and regulatory updates, and networking through events, chapters and peer groups. Members can access business discounts, employee benefits, insurance and healthcare solutions, as well as contractor and industry directories. ABC also offers awards, leadership programs, publications and a technology marketplace featuring construction-related tools and services from partner companies. Through advocacy, professional development and practical member services, the association aims to help construction businesses succeed and contribute to the communities where they work.
