## Description

Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) is a conservation organization serving communities in the Ausable Bayfield region of Ontario. Its stated purpose is to protect life, property and watershed resources in partnership with the community. The authority works across watersheds including the Ausable River, Bayfield River, Parkhill Creek, Mud Creek, lakeshore tributaries and the Lake Huron watershed.

ABCA offers programs and information focused on flood plain management, planning and permits, stewardship, restoration and forestry, parks and recreation, education and outreach, environmental monitoring, and drinking water source protection. It also provides watershed report cards, mapping and public notices, including flood and low-water updates. Visitors can find information about conservation properties such as Rock Glen Conservation Area and learn about local conservation projects, volunteer opportunities and donations. Initiatives include Footprints to Forests, which supports local tree planting, and community events such as the South Huron Trail Run. Through its website, ABCA shares governance information, meeting materials, news and resources to help residents engage with conservation and access services.
