## Description

ABCCCP, the Africa Board for Coaching, Consulting and Coaching Psychology, is a professional body focused on quality assurance across coaching, coaching psychology and consulting. Describing itself as “Made in Africa…For the world,” it aims to help practitioners meet high standards of ethics, knowledge and professional practice. Its services include membership and practitioner accreditation, a member directory for people seeking coaches or consultants, ethical standards, research and continuing professional development. The Board’s SKAP framework considers a professional’s skills, knowledge, attributes and purpose, while its accreditation approach also recognises qualifications and relevant experience. Through Recognition of Prior Learning, practitioners may demonstrate equivalent learning through experience, even without a formal degree. ABCCCP also supports the profession through events, including the Coaching for Africa Symposium and Africa Coaching and Consulting Awards, and publishes the Journal of Coaching, Consulting & Coaching Psychology. Its resources offer practical guidance for practitioners, including advice on choosing a coach and tools for coaching and consulting practice.
