## Description

Beacon in the Cosmos LLC is an organization focused on advancing scientific understanding of the universe and encouraging the responsible use of human knowledge. Guided by founder and astrophysicist Dr. Jonathan H. Jiang, its vision emphasizes collaboration, scientific discovery, and improving quality of life. The organization presents humanity as a source of life and intelligence in the cosmos, with a responsibility to pair technological capability with wisdom and compassion.

Its work spans research, education, and exploration. The Beacon Research Program highlights topics including exoplanets and Earth observation, exploring how observations of our planet can help researchers study distant worlds. Humanity’s Exploration of Mars and Humanity’s Message to the Stars (HMTS) reflect the organization’s interest in space exploration and communication beyond Earth. Its Beacon in the Galaxy project features the Beacon in the Galaxy message, an update to the 1974 Arecibo message that incorporates advances in digital technology. Beacon in the Cosmos also offers Dr. Jiang’s seminars and shares publications and news related to its scientific and educational activities.
