## Description

ABESCO, the Brazilian Association of Energy Conservation Services Companies, promotes energy efficiency and energy conservation across Brazil. It brings together organizations working in the sector and supports the development of energy service companies, known as ESCOs, through information, training, partnerships, and industry events. Its resources explain how energy-efficiency projects are assessed, financed, and delivered, including performance contracts, energy audits, measurement and verification, and energy management standards such as ISO 50001. The association also shares technical guidance on safety standards, consumption and efficiency tables, and national energy programs.

ABESCO connects members with market opportunities through public calls for energy-efficiency projects, workshops, webinars, and its annual COBEE congress. It publishes sector news and media coverage, and provides information about funding options and programs such as Proesco. The association also develops institutional partnerships, including cooperation aimed at advancing energy-efficient solutions in basic sanitation. Through these activities, ABESCO serves as a resource and convening organization for businesses, professionals, and institutions seeking to improve energy performance and support more sustainable practices in Brazil.
