## Description

BetterLife Pharma is an emerging biotechnology company developing and commercializing patient-friendly medicines for neuropsychiatric and neurological disorders. Its mission is to expand treatment options for people facing unmet mental health needs, with a particular focus on medicines intended to provide therapeutic benefits without unwanted hallucinogenic effects.

The company’s lead candidate, BETR-001, is a second-generation derivative of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). BetterLife describes it as a non-hallucinogenic compound designed to mimic LSD’s projected therapeutic properties while avoiding hallucinations. The candidate is being explored for conditions including treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, cluster headaches, and other migraine and headache disorders. These are potential uses under development, not established treatments.

BetterLife emphasizes science- and evidence-driven research, efficient development, and improving access to future therapies. Its approach aims to offer alternatives in areas where patients and healthcare providers need more options. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, BetterLife Pharma is publicly traded under the symbols BETR on the CSE and BETRF on the OTCQB.
