## Description

Ability 2 Access is a UK registered charity and company limited by guarantee working to improve access, learning and inclusion for people with disabilities and special needs. Its immediate focus is on people with physical disabilities in the UK, while its vision and research ambitions extend more widely. The organisation aims to narrow educational gaps between disabled and non-disabled people through education, research, assistive technology and practical support.

Rather than presenting a commercial product range, Ability 2 Access develops and promotes the use of information and digital technologies to support learning and accessibility. Its work includes research into disability, education, medicine, technology and cybernetics, as well as guidance on inclusive practices in schools and colleges. The charity also supports initiatives such as DEAL (Digital Education & Assisted Learning), which explores students’ experiences in higher education, and encourages participation in sport, including the Paralympics. Through its projects, partnerships, publications and fundraising, Ability 2 Access seeks to advance learning, inclusion and opportunity for disabled people and those with special needs.
