## Description

Ability OT & Driving Services provides occupational therapy, driving assessment and vehicle modification services across the Albury-Wodonga area and surrounding region. The service supports people with medical conditions or disabilities to explore their driving goals, assess their readiness to learn, and travel more safely and independently.

Its occupational therapy driving assessments include off-road and on-road evaluations, with options to assess heavy vehicle, forklift and motorbike driving. For learner and pre-learner drivers, Potential to Drive Assessments consider readiness and capacity to learn safely. Reports and recommendations can be provided to relevant licensing authorities and health professionals, with guidance on rehabilitation, vehicle modifications and associated funding applications where appropriate.

The service also assesses passenger and driver vehicle modification needs, coordinates trials and works with vehicle modifiers and specialised driving instructors. Individual capacity-building programs can develop the motor, visual and cognitive skills involved in driving. Additional occupational therapy services include functional assessments, support with daily living and community access, home safety, falls prevention, and mobility scooter assessment and training.
