## Description

About Autism is the practice of Stephen Simpson, an autism trainer, consultant and speaker based in Leeds, serving organisations and individuals across the UK. Its work focuses on understanding autistic experiences and creating environments that support inclusion, using practical, plain-English guidance tailored to each setting rather than stereotypes or jargon.

Services include half-day and full-day training for schools, employers, health and care teams. Sessions cover autism, sensory and communication needs, effective reasonable adjustments and autism-friendly environments, with practical actions for teams to use. Consultancy includes on-site sensory and accessibility reviews, policy and process audits, and reports with prioritised, costed recommendations. Stephen also delivers conference keynotes, panels, internal talks and free monthly webinars.

About Autism provides pre- and post-diagnostic support for autistic people, families and professionals, including guidance on daily life, self-advocacy and navigating assessment or diagnosis. Resources include a free checklist for assessing autism-friendly environments, webinars, a podcast and two poetry collections titled Autistic Verse.
