## Description

It’s About Family Inc. is a community development corporation serving Grovetown and the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) since 2009. Its mission is to help families build fuller lives in their communities through education, empowerment, and family-centered support. The organization began with free community events and has expanded its work to address needs across generations.

Its services include The Father’s Hands Food Pantry, which provides food assistance three days a week, and scholarships for traditional and non-traditional college students in the CSRA. It also offers free marital and family counseling, tutoring and homework support, teen mentorship, family education, and programs that help former prisoners reintegrate into the community. Other initiatives include community gardening, access to technology for job searches and technical skills, and support for youth and alternative-school students.

Through community events such as school supply drives and teacher appreciation activities, It’s About Family brings residents together and promotes family well-being. The organization also describes future plans to develop education and job-training programs in response to community needs.
