## Description

The Brazilian Association of Psychiatry (ABP) is a nonprofit scientific association that brings together psychiatrists across Brazil. Its mission is to represent and support people affected by mental disorders and to provide the public with reliable information about mental health. The association serves its members through professional resources, including a psychiatrist directory, membership benefits, ethical guidance, and online account services. It also supports continuing education through courses, conferences, webinars, specialty training programs, academic initiatives, and professional examinations. ABP shares research and perspectives through publications such as the Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry and Debates in Psychiatry, alongside news, media resources, and events. Its public-awareness campaigns address topics including suicide prevention, stigma, bullying, and drug use. The organization also develops professional guidelines and technical materials in collaboration with medical bodies. Based in Rio de Janeiro, ABP provides information about its governance, affiliated groups, partnerships, and activities, while connecting members and the public with updates and mental health resources.
