## Description

Architects Climate Action Network Norge (ACAN Norge) is part of an international network of architecture professionals and people working in related building fields who seek to address the interconnected climate and environmental crises. The organisation advocates for changes to the legal, economic and cultural conditions shaping the built environment, with the aim of accelerating decarbonisation, advancing ecological regeneration and transforming professional values and education.

ACAN Norge shares resources and knowledge and runs campaigns focused on more sustainable practices in the building sector. Its work includes calling for demolition to become a regulated exception, promoting the reuse of existing buildings and materials, and encouraging greater use of low-emission, natural materials. The organisation also invites people to map threatened, demolished and preserved buildings through its demolition map, and offers a resource map on reuse. Other activities include surveys, public appeals, an ideas competition for students and recent graduates, and a newsletter. Through these initiatives, ACAN Norge seeks to mobilise the expertise of architects and other building professionals to help create a built environment that supports climate goals, communities and ecosystems.
