## Description

ACC 6 “Irmgard-Marie” is a working fishing vessel based in Westeraccumersiel, on Germany’s East Frisian North Sea coast. Owned and captained by René-Gregor Janßen, the cutter represents a living connection to the region’s small-scale commercial fishing tradition. Built in 1964, it has passed through several owners and adapted over time to the demands of North Sea fishing, continuing to support its captain’s livelihood. The website introduces the vessel, its history and its current use, while sharing insight into the life and work of a coastal and small-scale deep-sea fisher. Visitors can explore historical information, photographs and videos of the boat and work aboard, along with blog posts and updates about North Sea fishing and East Frisia. Through these stories, Janßen presents the maritime heritage of the area and offers inspiration to aspiring fishers and others interested in life at sea. The site also invites applications from fishers specializing in small-scale deep-sea and coastal fishing, with a possible preparatory internship.
