## Description

The Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) is an Australian Federal Police-led initiative announced in 2018 to coordinate efforts against child exploitation. It brings together federal, state and territory agencies, non-government organisations and private industry, combining their expertise, resources and knowledge to support a more integrated response. Its work focuses particularly on online child sexual exploitation, including the use of technology to facilitate abuse and the production or sharing of child sexual abuse material.

The ACCCE provides information on what to report, how to report suspected abuse and where affected people can find support. Its website also offers prevention resources for parents and carers, research and statistics, case studies, media guidance and news. Public initiatives include Stop Child Abuse – Trace an Object, which invites people to help identify objects appearing in the backgrounds of abuse images, and the Closing The Net podcast. The centre shares reporting information, promotes community education and connects people with support services. Its purpose is to strengthen collaboration and help protect children from exploitation.
