## Description

AccessOAP is an independent intake organization funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. Operated by Accerta Services Inc. in partnership with Autism Ontario, Serefin and McMaster University centres, it helps families connect with autism services and supports across the province. AccessOAP works alongside the provincially funded Ontario Autism Program (OAP), which offers needs-based services and supports to eligible children and youth on the autism spectrum.

Families can create an AccessOAP account to learn about available programs, register a child or youth, access a family portal and connect with a care coordinator. Coordinators help families navigate the system, understand their options and, where applicable, take part in a determination-of-needs process related to support needs and funding. The portal also lets families manage personalized accounts, track spending and message care coordinators. AccessOAP serves families who are exploring eligibility, caregivers of eligible OAP participants, eligible independent youth and people designated to view a registrant’s information.
