# acheter-moins-cher.com - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `acheter-moins-cher.com` ## Description Acheter-moins-cher.com was a trusted and unbiased price comparison website, dedicated to serving the needs of consumers for 20 years, from 1998 to 2018. Unfortunately, due to the inability to maintain a high-quality service, the website has been closed down. We would like to express our gratitude to our dedicated team, valued suppliers, and, of course, our loyal users, who numbered over 120 million in two decades! But why did we have to close in 2018? The search engine giant, Google, slowly removed us from its index since 2008. A website cannot thrive or invest if it is banned from Google, which holds a 90% market share in France. Despite being convicted of abusing its dominant position in June 2017, Google continued to exclude us from its search engine. As a result, genuine price comparison websites still cannot exist as of September 2019. It seems the European Commission has turned a blind eye to this issue, allowing only fake price comparison websites to participate in Google's advertising solution. We have chosen not to alter our business model and become mere click merchants in the Google shopping era. Unfortunately, the current solution presented by Google is ineffective, leaving us no choice but to close our doors due to financial constraints. Acheter-moins-cher.com was repeatedly recognized as the preferred website among consumers in the Price Comparison category by Harris Interactive, and received many favorable press reviews throughout the years. The damages awarded to us will enable us to relaunch the best and most unbiased price comparison website in Europe within a few months, firmly on the side of the consumer.
