# ACHIEVE Human Services - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `achievehs.org` ## Description ACHIEVE Human Services is a social enterprise that has been dedicated to serving individuals within the Yuma community since 1960. Our mission is to support individuals with all types of disabilities in their personal growth and development, ultimately contributing to their independence and well-being. We believe in creating an environment where services are tailored to address individual needs, allowing our community members to actively participate in the development of their own life goals and objectives. At ACHIEVE, we understand that independence and self-sufficiency are achieved through confidence-building and self-empowering activities. That's why we offer a range of programs and services designed to gradually build on a person's existing strengths and expand their confidence into new areas. Our primary focus is on providing employment opportunities to individuals we serve, including those with developmental or intellectual disabilities, severe mental illness, substance abuse issues, chronic homelessness, or wounded warriors. Through job training, resume and interviewing skill development, work adjustment, job readiness activities, and on-the-job training, we prepare individuals for successful employment placements. We also partner with local businesses to provide on-the-job training and offer actual employment opportunities within ACHIEVE itself. In addition to employment services, we provide housing options, case management services to address behavioral healthcare needs, and independent living and social skill development. We are proud to serve any wounded warrior or individual with a significant disability who has been referred to us through state contracts. Our goals include exploring growth potentials to increase employment opportunities for those we serve, ensuring the quality of our services meets or exceeds industry standards, promoting integrity and board governance, and improving communications with community stakeholders.
