## Description

ACLIEMAC is a collaborative project approved under the INTERREG MAC 2014-2020 program, aimed at enhancing energy autonomy and resilience against climate change in the Macaronesia region, which includes parts of the Canary Islands, Madeira, Azores, Cabo Verde, Mauritania, and Senegal. Spanning 36 months, this initiative unites 13 partners to tackle the specific challenges of weak energy systems by promoting sustainable development.

The project's key objectives include the adaptation of energy infrastructure to climate change, exploring innovative energy solutions like distributed generation and energy storage, and advocating for environmental awareness. To achieve these goals, a variety of activities are undertaken, such as assessing current energy models, promoting renewable marine energy, and implementing circular and low-carbon economies.

ACLIEMAC also emphasizes the importance of adapting large energy consumers and buildings to climate impacts. Through its robust approach to knowledge sharing and community engagement, ACLIEMAC strives to create a sustainable energy future that aligns with the demands of climate adaptation and resilience.
