The Agricultural Crop Licensing Platform (ACLP) is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering innovation in plant breeding. By ensuring that innovation in plant breeding is accessible to all European breeders, the ACLP aims to enhance agricultural crop productivity and sustainability, benefiting European society as a whole.

The geographic scope of the ACLP covers Europe, specifically the 38 Member States of the European Patent Convention, Ukraine, and Russia. The ACLP's key outcomes include the availability of novel patented plant traits, support for the sustainable development of plant varieties, and the facilitation of technology transfer to foster further innovation.
