Founded in 1946 by Jack Bernstein, Acorn started by selling job lot boxes with just five employees in a small warehouse. Over the years, the company expanded and became multi-generational, with Jack's son-in-laws, Max Weissberg and Dick Seff, joining in 1970.

The business continued to grow with the entry of the third generation, David Weissberg in 1982 and Randy Seff in 1995. Today, the fourth generation, represented by Jake Weissberg, is actively involved in the company.
