## Description

**Brand Description:**

The Canadian Philosophical Association (CPA), established in 1958, is dedicated to promoting philosophical scholarship and education throughout Canada. The CPA serves as a vital platform for philosophical discourse, representing the interests of the profession in public forums while advocating for equity, diversity, and inclusion within the field. At the heart of its mission, the Equity Committee strives to address the challenges faced by historically underrepresented groups, including Indigenous Peoples, Black and racialized communities, women, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Through extensive data collection, reports, and a hiring toolkit, the CPA effectively promotes best practices that enhance the representation of these groups in philosophy departments across Canada. Furthermore, the association hosts regular panels and discussions during its annual meetings, fostering critical dialogue on inclusivity and equitable practices. By joining the CPA, members gain access to invaluable resources, scholarships, and networking opportunities that support their philosophical pursuits and contributions to the discipline.
