## Description

The AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) is a prominent global clinical trials network dedicated to improving the management of HIV and its related comorbidities. Established in 1987, ACTG is recognized as the world’s largest and longest-running clinical trials network focused on infectious diseases. Operating in 65 sites across four continents, the consortium brings together thousands of researchers, healthcare professionals, and community members committed to advancing innovative treatments and potential cures for HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis B, and emerging infectious diseases.

ACTG plays a crucial role in conducting clinical trials that aim to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes. Through its Red Ribbon Registry and community engagement initiatives, ACTG fosters an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences, ensuring that all voices are heard in the research process. Their commitment to diversity enriches the scientific inquiry and strengthens the connections within the communities they serve, ultimately leading to impactful advancements in healthcare for those affected by these diseases.
