# ACT Initiative - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `actinitiative.org` ## Description ACT is an initiative that focuses on assessing and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy. With an understanding of the increasing carbon emissions and the need to reverse this trend, ACT provides a holistic view of a company's operational impacts and dependencies. By using a future-oriented, sector-specific methodology, ACT assesses how ready an organization is to make this transition. The ultimate goal is to drive action and accountability while putting companies on a pathway that is well below the 2°C target. Since its launch in 2015, ACT has gained support from companies, investors, and government departments. It is a joint voluntary initiative of the UNFCCC secretariat Global Climate Agenda and has the backing of organizations such as ADEME and CDP. The initiative aims to bring consistency and accountability to the growing number of actions that organizations are taking to tackle climate change. ACT offers methodologies, resources, and local programs to assist companies in their efforts. With a focus on collaboration and transparency, ACT is contributing to the global fight against climate change. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idsk8z8rWR/w/289/h/255/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1781495548544) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Buttercup | #f2ae13 | accent | | Tarawera | #093147 | dark | | Mandy | #e45f59 | light | ## Fonts - var(--e-global-typography-80f4261-font-family) — asset _(custom)_ - -apple-system — asset _(system)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
