## Description

The Global Week for Action on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) is a vital initiative aimed at uniting the global NCD movement to address the growing burden of these diseases, which are the leading cause of death worldwide. Each year, this campaign centers on a specific theme, with the 2024-2025 focus being "Time to Lead," highlighting the urgent need for action as we approach the fourth UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs in September 2025. 

Since its inception in 2018, the Global Week has called upon individuals, advocates, and healthcare leaders to come together, emphasizing that even small actions can contribute to significant change. The campaign focuses on critical areas including accountability, investment, leadership, community engagement, and care. Through various activities, participants are encouraged to raise awareness, mobilize resources, and engage in efforts that foster health equality. By promoting collaboration across nations and sectors, the Global Week for Action on NCDs champions a world where everyone has access to affordable healthcare and enjoys the right to health.
