## Description

ACT Project is a research initiative that focuses on the transformative effects of digital communication on the experiences of aging in networked societies. Comprised of researchers, students, and institutional partners from around the world, ACT explores the concept of 'digital ageism' and its impact on inclusion and exclusion based on age. Through collective research, ACT aims to provide insights into the intersection of aging and digital technologies and propose strategies for change. As the world's population ages, the project delves into how aging populations navigate a digitalized world filled with digital devices and technology-mediated communication. ACT's interdisciplinary approach includes collaborative research, developing appropriate languages, methods, and curricula, and fostering intergenerational and intra-generational communication. The three inter-related research areas of ACT - Agency in Ageing, Critical Mediations, and Telecommunication Technologies - investigate various aspects of aging in relation to digital environments. ACT is committed to ethical and inclusive research practices, challenging ageism, and promoting mutual respect and social justice activism.
