## Description

The ACVO National Service Animal Eye Exam Event is a philanthropic initiative that offers free ocular screening eye exams to qualified Service & Working Animals every May. This program is made possible by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) members who volunteer their time and resources. Each year, approximately 8,000 eye exams are conducted across America, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The program aims to provide essential eye care to service animals who selflessly support and care for us all. The generosity of ACVO Diplomates, who donate their time, staff, and services, as well as the support from Epicur Pharma and other sponsors, makes this program successful. Registration for the 2023 event has closed, but stay tuned for updates on the 2024 event. The ACVO National Service Animal Eye Exam Event was also recognized as the winner of the 2018 NAVC Veterinary Innovation Council (VIC) Awards in the Organization: Other category.
