## Description

The American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) is a member-driven, not-for-profit professional organization representing more than 800 accredited veterinary radiologists and radiation oncologists. Recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association as a veterinary specialty organization, the ACVR certifies specialists in radiology, radiation oncology, and equine diagnostic imaging. Its mission is to promote excellence in patient care through leadership, innovation, and education in veterinary diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology.

The college supports veterinarians, students, and scientists through consultation, education, and research, and provides information to professionals, pet owners, and those pursuing specialist training. Its offerings include residency program resources, continuing education such as an online nuclear medicine short course, an annual meeting, and opportunities to connect with specialists through its directory. ACVR societies covering areas such as CT and MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, large-animal imaging, and zoo and wildlife medicine contribute to continuing education. The organization also supports the ethical and transparent development and use of artificial intelligence in veterinary imaging and radiation oncology.
